Brain laser therapy

Specific conditions that we help

Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is a non-thermal light therapy that uses non-ionizing visible and infrared light to stimulate cellular processes. By targeting chromophores such as Cytochrome C oxidase and flavins, it triggers beneficial photophysical and photochemical responses in the body.

Unlike Class 4 lasers commonly used in cosmetic procedures for tissue destruction, the Class 3 laser employed in PBMT modulates cellular responses without causing harm. It is a safe, painless procedure free from harmful radiation. While most patients experience no discomfort, mild fatigue or dizziness may occur. To ensure tolerance, initial sessions typically involve lower light doses.

  • Relief pain – by reducing pain transmission signals  (blocking action potential and nociceptive blockade).

  • Decrease mitochondria membrane potential, thus decreasing ATP production.

  • Disrupt microtubule polymerization.

  • Opening up blood vessels (vasodilatation).

  • Anti-inflammatory.

  • Immunomodulating.

  • promote tissue healing and regeneration.

  • Higher dose of 100mW was shown to better help tendon collagen fiber organization.

  • Reduce muscle spasms – at a high dose for 10-15 min.

  • Modulate CNS neurotransmitter production.

  • Stimulate tissue stem cells for tissue regeneration.

  • Tendon/ ligament injury/ sprain: Ankle sprain, rotator cuff syndrome

  • Chronic neck and back pain

  • Joint pain: arthritis, TMJ dysfunction

  • Post-surgical pain and swelling

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Chronic wound healing

  • Peripheral neuropathy: Carpal tunnel syndrome, CRPS

  • Lymphedema
